Making money out of rubbish.

It’s not often that we get calls from people, before they have a business! Paul Lofroth had held senior positions with a variety of trade related companies and was looking for a new challenge. He’d spotted a trailer-based rubbish removal business for sale and was seeking some advice about how this might be marketed.

We started by taking a step back – running through the fundamentals of the business, discussing the potential of adding quality marketing, and assessing the purchase value. Our discussions led to the conclusion that this was a legitimate business opportunity at the right price. Paul moved on it, negotiating a healthy 5-figure saving off the original asking price.

From there it was all systems go.

Right Hand Man completed a brand positioning workshop that pulled out the key differences between Paul’s business and its competitors. We agreed on a name – Throw n’ Tow – and then put together a Brand ID package that included logo creation and other material such as vehicle signage.

A website and Google Adwords campaign was next on the list. And this was followed by sales collateral that included brochures, flyers and print ads for local media.

With Paul now into the swing of things and the new marketing material online, Throw n’ Tow is making real traction, with more and more leads and bookings coming through. And we have no doubt this business will continue to thrive.

"Richard and the team at Right Hand Man have helped immeasurably to get my business off the ground, and they continue to assist me with different marketing strategies as I grow. When I need advice I can just get on the phone, plus we have regular meetings to check on progress and fine-tune what we’re doing. I can highly recommend them to any new or existing business owners for good advice and effective strategies."
