Affordable Garage Carpets

Affordable Garage Carpets (AGC) install garage carpets in the greater Auckland and Canterbury regions. They had been advertising on radio on More FM and The Rock in Christchurch using 15-second commercials. These ads focused solely on price ($999 for a double garage, $499 for a single), driving traffic to the AGC website.

We felt we could get better results if we used creatively-lead 30-second spots to show the listeners what their garage could be used for if it was carpeted instead of just a cluttered space where you kept your car.

Using the strength of Radio’s ‘theatre of the mind’, we used sound effects, character voices and music to get listeners to imagine their garage as a rumpus room for children, a home office, a gym, a place for band practice and even a man cave. The client was already using Google Ads. With a call-to-action to drive traffic to go online, the new radio campaign has seen a raise in traffic on the AGC website and a better response to their Google Ads. Using the same creative strategy, we refreshed the campaign for December, showcasing how a carpeted garage gives listeners a much bigger space for the family Christmas banquet or New Year’s Eve party.
